Alaia shortlisted for The Plan Award 2021

We are delighted that our flagship retail store for Alaia, in New Bond Street in London’s West End, has been shortlisted in The Plan Awards 2021 in the Retail Category.

The store follows the increasing trend for Maison retail with museum-quality space and lighting.  An elegant new timber shopfront is set into the retained and restored granite arch on the New Bond Street facade, and the restrained and minimal interior is populated by a series of bold sculptural interventions. These include a dramatic steel spiral staircase linking the three main retail levels, lighting design by Marc Newson, artworks by Kris Ruhs and display elements by Pierre Paulin.

The Plan Award is an annual international competition, founded in 2014 by The Plan, an acclaimed international architecture and interior design magazine. The Award recognises excellence in the fields of architecture, interior design and urban planning.
