Concept design for three 25 storey premium class residential towers in Perm, Russia designed by the London studio with local support from our Moscow studio

The towers sit above a mixed-use podium that creates a lively presence at street level with a retail gallery, comprising a restaurant with an open terrace, a cafe, beauty shops, banks, supermarket and boutiques, with a kindergarten and public landscape above, and offices wrapping around the street edges.
The site offers 360˚ views to river, mountains and the city and the buildings have been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views with sightseeing terraces on the 22nd floor as well as panoramic elevators. Interiors are designed to a very high specification, with an emphasis on insulation and noise isolation.
The 42,000sqm development marks a new standard of residential accommodation and design in a key location in Perm, an emerging city of culture which is attracting high profile international architecture teams. Environmentally Perm has temperature swings from +35˚ to –35˚creating extreme challenges for façade design.
There is also national regulation to provide 2 hours of sunlight for each primary living space which informs and shapes the slender tower designs.

The three phases are now complete, revealing their elegant and articulated massing. All apartments in Phase I were sold within 10 months.
